POINTE BLANCHE

Standing at the forefront of the new generation of French whisky, POINTE BLANCHE is offering a characterful single malt. Its small-scale production makes it perfect for gourmets interested in exploring a high-quality, creative French whisky range.

As spirit distillers, maturers and blenders in Charentes, we are building on nearly two centuries of inherited expertise, knowledge and skill. We wanted to open up new avenues by developing our own in-house brewery and rethinking our maturation techniques.

After an initial phase in our cellars, POINTE BLANCHE whisky travels off the mainland to an oyster cabin on an island rocked by ocean spray, where it gains its enigmatic complexity.

FROM GRAIN TO OCEAN

100% French barley

Procured from carefully selected farms, malted using our own particular method, brewed and fermented in-house.

Double-distilled in Charentais copper stills

Copper pot-stills, open fire under the boiler.

Initially matured in two types of oak

For at least three years in French oak barrels and a selection of American oak barrels.

Matured twice: on the mainland then on an Atlantic island

This double maturation in two different climates gives POINTE BLANCHE whisky its unique character.

Our POINTE BLANCHE Single Malt undergoes a double maturation process that is unique in France: after spending several years in oak barrels on the mainland, it completes its maturation on an Atlantic island amid oyster beds, where it reveals its rich, mysterious character.

Tasting notes:
APPEARANCE: Golden with copper touches.
NOSE: Rounded and complex with cereal, slightly peaty aromas in the opening. Developing nutty and dried fruit notes.
PALATE: Gourmet and flavoursome in the attack with delicious malted and candied fruit notes. Oaky, smoky structure. Toast and saline touches in the finish.
Best enjoyed straight, over ice, or in a cocktail.

Oloroso Limited Edition

70cl – 46% vol

For this limited edition of 2040 bottles, we wanted to draw on the unique notes of mature Oloroso sherries.

These months of maturation in Oloroso barrels ensure a perfect union between the saline, delicately smoky notes of our POINTE BLANCHE whisky and the smooth style of the Andalusian wine.

Tasting notes:
APPEARANCE: Bright golden yellow.
NOSE: Hugely gourmet, combining freshness and softness with nutty and ripe grape notes.
PALATE: The palate is flooded with gourmet intensity, beautiful balance, and a finish of nut and delicately smoky spice notes.
Serve straight in a whisky glass to preserve its delicate aromas.

ORGANIC – BIO

70cl – 43% vol

Thanks to our partnership with an organic cooperative in Charente-Maritime, we have been able to adopt a 100% local approach for our Organic POINTE BLANCHE Single Malt.

Our whisky is made from organic barley harvested in Charente-Maritime, brewed and then distilled here. Its elaboration and its aging – on the mainland and on an island – respect the stages of an organic whisky.

Its final aging in ex-barrels of Pineau des Charentes adds a gourmet roundness to the whisky.

Tasting notes:
APPEARANCE: Straw yellow with hints of copper.
NOSE: Very fruity, soft and well balanced with candied pear aromas.
PALATE: A very upright and rounded whisky on the palate, with delicate sherry notes that add lightness and balance. A gourmet finish with a delicate touch of liquorice.
Best enjoyed straight, over ice, or in a cocktail.

PEATED – TOURBÉ

70cl – 44% vol

Matured for at least five years in our cellars on the mainland and in an oyster hut amid an oyster bed on an Atlantic island, our Peated POINTE BLANCHE Single Malt’s full character is brought out by the turbulent oceanic climate.

Its smoky notes, coming from the use of peated malt, are softened by time spent in American oak barrels.

This exceptional Single Malt is perfect for lovers of peated whiskies.

Tasting notes:
APPEARANCE: Attractive light yellow colour.
NOSE: Initially giving off a peaty scent, elegant and earthy. This is followed by a charming, gourmet nose with beautiful balance between peat and oak.
PALATE: The initial saline notes make way for a beautiful peatiness that coats the palate, whilst also allowing the ripe fruit notes to shine through. A beautifully lingering and well balanced finish.
Best enjoyed straight, over ice, or in a cocktail.

  • 17,5 ml white pear cordial
  • 25 ml verjuice
  • 10 ml fresh botanical alcohol-free distillate
  • 35 ml POINTE BLANCHE Single Malt whisky
  • 20 ml aquafaba
  • A drop of oyster water (or nori seaweed solution)

Mix the ingredients in the shaker.
Double strain into a Nick & Nora glass.

  • 0,75 ml sugar syrup
  • 10 ml verjuice
  • 20 ml amaro liqueur
  • 30 ml Organic POINTE BLANCHE Single Malt whisky
  • 2 dashes cherry bitters
  • Sparkling water

Mix the ingredients directly in a highball glass.
Top up with sparkling water.

  • 30 ml amaro liqueur
  • 30 ml red vermouth
  • 30 ml Peated POINTE BLANCHE Single Malt whisky
  • Orange peel

Mix the ingredients in a mixing glass.
Strain into an old fashioned glass.
Decorate with orange peel.
